Our Start
Owner and Founder of Muddy River Frenchies, Heather Russell has been a dog breeder since 2002 when she began with English Bulldogs. She got her first English Bulldog, Brutus, in 2002, who lived to be a very old man of 13. After Brutus, She adopted another English Bulldog from a family in town. From there, she had her first litter of puppies and fell in love with them. She provided many families from all over the United States with healthy and happy puppies. In 2010, she decited to breed her Great Dane, Raven, and had two litters of beautiful Great Dane Puppies. After the second litter, She took a break until 2021. Now she has fell in love with our beautiful baby Frenchies.

Our Family
Heather lives in rual Illinois with her Husband, Troy, and two children, Kohlman (23), and Destinee (21). Kohlman is currently serving in the US Navy and has been since 2016. There he is an Aviation Aerographer's Mate and in his free time, enjoys playing video games. Destinee is currently a Media Studies student at Northen Illinois University. She works for her schools athletics in the media department. She also is in charge of all things social media and web design for Muddy River Frenchies. In her free time, she enjoys reading and curling up with her Frenchie, Buck.
